Egypt e-invoice
Egypt e-invoice is for a clinic whose Egyptian tax is on. Until the taxpayer portal is connected, the cashier receipt is internal and does not claim a tax submission.
When it applies
The screen exists when Egyptian tax is enabled for that tenant. A clinic that is not on Egyptian tax does not get an e-invoice button on the visit. Connecting is done in the Egyptian tax portal. BOC does not create the taxpayer branch inside that portal for you. The portal steps cover the taxpayer profile, the invoicing portal, the issuer seal, the item codes, and, for an electronic receipt, the point-of-sale serial that will submit receipts. After those are in place and the profile is connected, staff send the e-invoice from the visit. Until the profile is connected, the payment stays on an internal receipt. That receipt says it is internal unless the tenant has a connected Egyptian taxpayer profile, and it does not claim an ETA submission.
The cashier still shows due, paid, and remaining. Two currencies and the daily rate are the accounting screen, not this tax connection. A Lebanon demo will not show the Egypt screen, because Egyptian tax is not on there. An empty figure on this page means the screen was not available to capture. It is not a drawing of a receipt.
What makes it different
An internal receipt and a submitted e-invoice are not the same document. BOC keeps that difference on the visit. Before the portal is connected, nobody on the team can point at the receipt and call it a tax submission. After the connection, the send action is on the visit, not in a side spreadsheet that the cashier never sees.
From the portal to the visit
Someone who manages the clinic opens the Egyptian tax portal and completes the taxpayer profile, the invoicing access, the issuer seal, and the item codes. For electronic receipts they register the point-of-sale serial that will submit. BOC cannot register that branch inside the portal, because the portal does not offer that creation to the app. When the profile is connected in BOC, a visit that has been paid can send the e-invoice from the visit itself. If the profile is not connected, the person at the cashier still takes cash, card, or wallet, and the paper or on-screen receipt remains internal. The dashboard will show the income either way. It will not show a tax acceptance that never happened. A clinic outside Egypt leaves the switch off and never sees the button. That is the whole path. There is no extra tax product hiding behind accounting.
How it works in BOC
- Turn Egyptian tax on. Other countries do not see the visit button.
- Finish the portal yourself. Profile, invoicing, seal, codes, and the POS serial. BOC does not create the taxpayer branch.
- Connect the profile. Until it is connected, the receipt is internal.
- Send from the visit. Staff send the e-invoice on the visit after the connection.
- Keep the cashier honest. Due, paid, and remaining do not become a tax acceptance by themselves.
Who it is for

Questions
Does every clinic send an Egypt e-invoice?
No. Only when Egyptian tax is enabled for that account.
What is the receipt before the portal is connected?
An internal receipt. It does not claim a tax submission.
Does BOC create the branch in the tax portal?
No. You register the taxpayer branch in the portal. The portal does not let the app create it.
Where is the e-invoice sent from?
From the visit, after the profile is connected.
What portal steps are required?
Taxpayer profile, invoicing access, issuer seal, item codes, and a POS serial for electronic receipts.
Why might this page have an empty figure?
The public demo is not an Egyptian-tax tenant, so the screen is not there to capture. The empty figure is not a receipt.
