BOC for clinics

A clinic day is a book of visits, a room, a file, and a payment. BOC keeps those on one workspace. Staff book the visit. The patient does not book themselves.

A clinic morning

The front desk opens the calendar and books the visit on an open time, with the person and the room that can take it. A conflict is refused rather than stacked on a chair that is already full. Gender session times and branch limits apply when the clinic uses them. A visit that did not go ahead can sit on the paused list and be rescheduled. There is no public page where the patient picks the slot.

When the practitioner is ready, the doctor room shows waiting, in room, and done. They call the visit in, write a note, and mark it done, or send it back to waiting. The room does not take the money. The cashier shows due, paid, and remaining, in cash, card, or wallet. If insurance is on, the patient’s part stays at the cashier and the company collection is a separate screen: one company, one bill currency, and never more than the open insurer balance.

Daily problems

The book and the room disagree

A paper list at the desk and a different list in the room means the practitioner calls someone who is not next. The doctor room reads the same visits the calendar booked.

The file is not at the chair

Conditions, medicines, visits, and balances live on the client file, so the chair is not waiting for a folder from another room.

Cash and the insurer share one envelope

The cashier takes the patient’s part. An insurance collection is one company and cannot exceed the remaining insurer balance.

What BOC uses for this

  • Appointments & Bookings Staff create the visit. A paused visit can be filtered and rescheduled.
  • Doctor Room Today’s queue is waiting, in room, or done. The room does not collect payment.
  • Client Records One file holds conditions, medicines, visits, balances, notes, and files.
  • Cashier & Daily Income Due, paid, and remaining, split by cash, card, and wallet.
  • Insurance Companies and policies sit on the file. Collection stays with that company.
